What are demonstrative pronouns?
By definition, demonstrative pronouns are pronouns which represent a thing or more things.

The demonstrative pronouns representing just one thing are this and that, while, those that represent more things are these and those. 
Moreover, the pronouns this and these refer to something that is near to the speaker, instead that and those refer to something that is far either in distance or time.
